ClassMates Attend Final Rites

With each passing classmate, the class has diligently put forth a conscientious effort to attend either the Wake or Funeral Services of the deceased. We have been dutiful in this effort; it is all that can be expected. We appreciate your service and support.

On Saturday, February 14, 2009 the following photos were taken of some of the classmates that attended the services. (courtesy of Ethel P. Robinson). Thanks Ethel on the behalf of all of us!

Exclusive Class Christmas Gala Photos 2008

Christmas Gala photos, courtesy of Pop Lancaster were just discovered and are being posted on this site. They're amazing because they are of the class as we celebrate our commemorative stroll to the tune of Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, "Wake Up Everybody". Once the group photo was taken, the class invited others to join them on the floor to a top hit 'Were You There'.

Both tunes were selected in response to a spectacular political advancement in the wake of Barak H. Obama becoming President-Elect.

The first photo is from the Night In White: A Panoramic Photo of the Class

Enjoy!

Class of 1968 Worships Together

Oh how good it is when we can come together and worship!

We are known for having a good time and that good time spills over into our worship as well. We were blessed with a beautiful edifice and sermon at Mt. Zion AME Church on Sunday, January 11, 2009.

One of our goals for 2009 is to worship together quarterly. If you missed this opportunity maybe you can worship with us at our next scheduled event. A notice will be forth coming.
It was ironic that Freddie Grant attended this worship services and three weeks later we attended his home going services. Be Prayful.

Tributes to the Deceased Classmates

It is again with great remorse that the Gibbs Senior High Class has had to bury two of their own. Franklin Cameron in January and most recently Freddie Grant. The Death Angel has been busy, but we are reminded of the words 'O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory'.

Let each of us console one another as we experience the pains of losing our beloved classmates. Additionally, we take personal pride in thanking those classmates that were able to attend the Wake Services, Homegoing Services and those that served in any capacity to the bereaved families.

See below photos taken at the homegoing services of Franklin and Freddie.

Ethel was able to capture a few of the classmates that attend the service; others had departed at the time of her photo shoot.

Ethel's Photos: Night In White and Christmas Gala

Yes, we are still reveling over the magnificent time we had during the reunion. To that end, we have just received additional photos of the 'Night In White Event' from non other than Ethel Robinson.

Not only did Ethel capture great Reunion Photos, she took a few minutes to snap classmates having a good time at the Christmas Gala!

I think we can say Ethel is certainly a contributing photographer. What do you think? Check her pics out below.

She took some great shots and check them out. All I can say, 'Is Pop be on the lookout, Ethel has a good eye for photos too'.

Thanks to Ethel for sharing!
